When we are babies we are absolutely fascinated by our bodies. A baby can spend hours observing its toes (Wow, how many there are! And they all fit in my mouth!) As kids we are super confident in our acrobatic capabilities, something totally terrifying for all surrounding adults. We dance, we have fun and we really do not care about appearances.
Until the time we reach puberty something changes about the way we see ourselves. From the naughty kiddos we once were, we become young adults. Instead of enjoying the strength we have in our legs, we start worrying about the way they look in shorts.
Well Princes, it’s time to stop with those negatives thoughts and change the perspective.
Do you know that according to one study, soldiers that needed to lose some weight did much better if they approached the task with self-confidence.
Self-perception does not affect only your weight. According to another study conducted in 2015, people with higher self-esteem demonstrated lower levels of depression, had better relationships with their partners and were more satisfied with their jobs. Oh, yes, and they lived longer than people with low self-esteem.
I am strong.
I am beautiful.
I am self sufficient.
You don’t need to give up to the pressure to be perfect or to listen to the media’s beauty stereotypes. You are strong enough and beautiful.
You are sexy beast.
After 20 years you will look back and say: “Wow, how good I used to look.” Why don’t you just skip the whining?
Exercise because you love your body, not because you hate it.
Too often we see training as a punishment for eating too much sweets. This negativity does not motivate. Instead focus on the way movement helps you like your body even more. Great mood, amazing power, incredible speed.
Happiness is beautiful.
People often think that beautiful people are happy. Actually it’s the other way around. Happiness makes people beautiful. Being happy doesn’t mean that you get everything that you want. It means that you appreciate the little things that you have.
Don’t compare yourself to the others.
The photos of famous people and their friends that you see everyday in social media can be a serious blow to your self-esteem. But take a moment and think about it. There is no sense to compare your worst day to the best day of somebody else.
Be proud of how far you have gone. Believe in how far you will get.
No matter what happens, the ability to see the bigger picture will help you see your successes and failures in perspective.
“Must” must not make you feel bad.
I must lose weight! I must take that course! Must, must, must. If you really want to accomplish something, do not use “I must”, use “I will”. If only “must” comes to your mind, then think about whose “must” are you talking about.
Everything starts with a good heart.
Kindness to others can change a human life. Kindness to ourselves can change the world.
Be your own sexy brand.
Just because you are not a Victoria Secret model nor a fitness model from a magazine cover does not meant that you are not beautiful and super sexy.
Happiness is not defined by sizes.
Happiness has little to do with appearances. It has to do with the person inside despite age, sex or size.
And here are some more wise and useful thoughts:
My actions determine my success. Not some numbers on a scale.
You don’t need to like everything about yourself in order to love yourself.
I love myself. I respect myself. I stand under no one.
I believe in me.
Progress, not perfectionism.
When you load your body with love, your mind has no limits.
You are made for this.
I will not determine my value based on my appearance.
I am sufficient. I have enough.
You are beautiful today, right now.
Don’t let your mind make fun of your body.
I am not perfect. As a classic work of art, exactly my faults are what make me a real masterpiece.
I am my own superhero.
Change the way you think. Change your body.
Perfection is just an element of human imagination.
You are not a mistake. You are not a problem to be solves.
Your body is an instrument not an ornament.
Just because I think something doesn’t make it real.
Fit and healthy body is always fashionable.
I chose happiness and joy.
Don’t say anything about yourself that you wouldn’t say to your best friend.
I am so much more than that.
There is no wrong way to have a body.
There is nothing superior or inferior in a spring landscape. Flowering branches are different by nature. Some are short, others are long.
